POSITION FUNCTIONS
BUSINESS PLANNING
- Develops the parts & service short and long-term business plan, updating periodically as required.
- Establishes and manages the overall budget forecasts and the profit and loss statement for all Aftersales related activities, including Parts/Service programs.
- Maintains overall responsibility for all pricing and programs relating to Aftersales.
- Prepares and administers the parts/service marketing budget and business plan which includes building cost centres, applying general ledgers, and administering day-to-day sales achievement by Region against the Sales Plan.
PRODUCT & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
- Work cross-functionally with Regions and the Corporate office to develop innovative new strategies for improvements to both the parts and service aspects of the business to retain and increase market share
- Maintain an awareness of trends and challenges affecting the global aftermarket and develop a growth and retention strategy based on Canadian regional markets.
- Oversee the continued growth of consumer targeted programs including Value Advantage, Tire Advantage and the Accessory Program.
- Ensure the successful implementation of key consumer and dealer incentive and rewards programs across Canadian regional markets,
PARTS LOGISTICS
- Ensure that decisions made relating to the continuous supply of parts and accessories are done in a cost effective manner while continuing to meet the service level needs of dealers and consumers.
- Provides input and guidance into operational problems within the procurement/parts supply area and in PDC Operations.
- Oversight of the development of new products and services to sell to dealers, including new accessories and those related to model changes.
- Approve major changes to computer systems’ development and implementation within the PDC’s and Parts Supply areas.
- Perform analysis of feasibility studies related to handling new items and services or improving operational efficiencies.
SALES & MARKETING
- Ensure the successful implementation of consumer retention initiatives related to Parts & Service.
- Oversight responsibility for retail and wholesale promotional programs at both the National and Regional levels.
- Company spokesperson for industry publications and media pertaining to Aftersales.
- Oversight responsibility to ensure regional field sales targets and objectives relating to Aftersales and seasonal items are met along with the successful implementation of quarterly FOM incentive and training programs and training across all three regions.
QUALITY ASSURANCE & WARRANTY
Oversight responsibility for the operation of the Warranty, Technical Support and Compliance and Information departments, including vehicle safety and product liability issues. Ensure that departmental objectives are in line with the Company’s strategic plan and provides direction as needed.
Knowledge: The incumbent ideally possesses a university degree in business management combined with proven experience developing and implementing programs and plans, high level strategy implementation and strong leadership skills.
